Midea Group had the honor of welcoming two of Mexico's most important retail partners, Elektra and Soriana, to our global headquarters in China. This business visit aimed at deepening collaboration and exploring future growth opportunities.
Soriana is one of Mexico's leading and most traditional retail chains, operating hypermarkets, supermarkets, and department stores. Positioned as a direct competitor to giants like Walmart, it holds a strong presence nationwide with around 534 stores, particularly in northern and central Mexico. Soriana caters primarily to the middle-class family, offering a wide range of products.

While Grupo Elektra occupies a highly specialized and unique niche, Focusing on the vast middle income segment. Its market position is built on an integrated model combining retail and financial services. The retail giant has a wide coverage of over 1300 stores nationwide.

The visit brought together senior executives and buyers from both retail chains to experience firsthand Midea's world-class innovation, manufacturing excellence, and commitment to product quality.
As part of the agenda, guests toured one of our key factories, explored the corporate showroom, and visited the Midea History Museum, where they gained insights into the company's legacy of innovation and its global development journey. Additionally, together attended the Canton Fair, where Midea showcased its latest technologies and solutions for the home appliance industry.

The visit focused on key topics such as the product development, product portfolio expansion and market strategy. Both sides held fruitful discussions and agreed on aiming at delivering value and innovation to Mexican consumers.
The delegation representatives expressed high confidence in Midea's technological capabilities, product reliability, and dedication to excellence.
